Vectorman :: A sludge-barge driver with an attitude. He comes from a post-apocalyptic variant of Earth (heretofore referred to as "Toxic Earth"), where he was the last sane clean-up orbot, after all his fellow orbots fell under the control of a berserk revolutionary known as Warhead, who Vectorman swiftly beat down, palm-blasters blazing.

NiGHTS :: A mysterious, benevolent Nightmaren from the world of dreams (Nightopia primarily; Nightmare is the evil side where NiGHTS came from, but Nightopia sounds better), who rebelled against his creator, Wizeman, and assisted two human children in his defeat. With his acrobatics, he loops and twirls around his enemies before viciously tossing them.

Shinobi :: A silent, lethal ninja from a tangent Earth where the order of the Ninja is kept strong to combat supernatural evils. This Shinobi is Joe Musashi, from the original Genesis series, with costume elements from Hostuma, his PS2-era predecessor. His high-strung agility and muscle tension is unmatched, and his magic-laced katana, sidearm tanto, shurikens, needles, smokebombs, grappling chains, and ninjitsu techniques allow him to deftly react to every situation in battle.

Billy Hatcher :: An upbeat, bold little guy who set out to save Morning Land from the evil Crows. He uses eggs to do battle by rolling over and bashing through enemies.


Please forgive any inaccuracies in my mini-bios... I've never played ANY of these games, I've simply studied up on all the reputable sources of game info I can find, from Wikipedia to fansites.

These are the confirmed characters for Team Sega so far. I have one more confirmed (Sketch Turner from Comix Zone), but I haven't gotten down his design yet... and one more after that needs to picked.

In the end, there will be seven core characters for the Sega side - Team Sega. Sonic the Hedgehog, Vectorman, NiGHTS, Shinobi, Billy Hatcher, Sketch Turner, and one more character I have yet to decide on. I'm thinking sombody from Phantasy Star, Panzer Dragoon, or maybe Shining Force. Anybody familiar with those games who can suggest one character who could represent that franchise well?
